Creative Visualization – Does it work?

I’m just an average Pinoy. Gaya ng karamihan sa atin, galing ako sa mahirap. Hindi naman ako gaanong matalino. Nakatapos ako ng kolehiyo pero sa isa lamang maliit na eskwelahan sa aming bayan. Pero ngayon, ako ay isang top executive sa isang malaking kumpanya sa Pilipinas, nakatira sa isang exclusive subdivision, pinag-aaral ang mga anak sa exclusive schools, nakakapamasyal sa United States, Europe, at iba pang bansa sa mundo. Hindi naman kami sobrang yaman, pero masasabi ko na naging matagumpay ako at nakakapag-enjoy sa buhay kasama ang aking pamilya.

Looking back, tinatanong ko sa aking sarili paano ako nakarating sa ganitong kalagayan? How was I able to beat the odds?

Sipag at tiyaga? Siyempre. Pero marami sa ating kababayan ang may sipag at tiyaga ngunit patuloy na naghihirap sa buhay, di ba.

Swerte? Tingin ko pwedeng sabihin ng iba na swerte ako pero naniniwala ako na ang ‘swerteng’ ito ay bunga ng aking tinatawag na trade secret – ang creative visualization.

I was perhaps 25 years old when I first applied this technique. Binigyan ako ng isang kaibigan ng maliit na aklat – ang Creative Visualizaiton na isinulat ni Shakti Gawain.

Nagtatrabaho ako sa isang maliit na clinic sa Makati noon. Wala pang isang taon pagkatapos kong isagawa ang una kong visualization ay nag-resign ako upang lumipat sa isang kumpanya sa Sucat. Di nagtagal ay tinawagan ako ng dati kong boss at nirerekomenda na mag-apply sa isang malaking ahensiya sa Makati. Natanggap ako doon. One thing led to another at ngayon ay nasa isang pinagpipitagang kumpanya sa bansa bilang isa sa mga top executive nito.

Naniniwala ako na dumating ang mga oportunidad sa akin at ako naman ay naging handa upang harapin ang mga ito dahil sa isinagawa kong visualization. Simula noon ay ginagamit ko na kadalasan ang technique na ito upang makamit ang aking mga pangarap, matagpuan ang tunay na pag-ibig, at baguhin ang aking mga negatibong pananaw sa buhay.

Yes, nakapakaraming available na aklat at materyal sa internet ukol sa creative visualization. Pero karaniwan sa kanila ay English, isinulat para sa Western o English-speaking audiences. Perhaps for the first time – ibabahagi ko ang ilang techniques sa wikang Pilipino sapagkat isinulat ko ang aklat na ito para sa Pinoy.
